PREMIERE! my chamber opera – Totentanz – celebrates it’s world premiere today!

posterFinally!!! This Saturday we celebrated the world premiere of my very first chamber opera „Totentanz“ at the Kammerspiele of the Tiroler Landestheater.

The opera is based on a play by Franz Kranewitter, called Totentanz. The author wrote the play at the end of the 1st world war in Innsbruck/Austria. It is about two evil gravediggers who are about to meet the death!…

I started writing in March 2016 and finished during the rehearsal process this january. The opera combines playbacks I produced in the studio (Synths, Bass, Drums) with a small live orchestra (violoncello, viola, trumpet, trombone, piano). To keep the orchestra in time with the playbacks a click track is given to the conductor.

It was a huge pleasure and amazing experience to work with such a professional team and I am looking forward to write my next chamber opera!
